Fleet dispatchers can now view vehicle location within Bluegrass for Windows software
DEER PARK, NY –Vehicle Tracking Solutions (VTS) and Bluegrass Technology today announced that they will work together to provide Bluegrass customers with a GPS tracking solution. VTS’ GPS location services will be integrated with Bluegrass Technology’s existing Bluegrass for Windows management software, designed for the construction and service industries.
With the new vehicle tracking feature, Bluegrass customers will be able to track the location of their vehicles in their Bluegrass system, provide customers with real time vehicle location information, and store vehicle location history.
“We’re excited to be affiliated with Vehicle Tracking Solutions,” stated Sue Hill, President of Bluegrass Technology. “Now we will be able to offer our customers a complete product offering which will combine dispatching, project management and billing with a real-time picture of where their vehicles are. This feature will give our customers further insight into their business operation.”
Bluegrass customers who choose to use the vehicle tracking feature in their Bluegrass software will also have access to Silent Passenger, VTS’ proprietary fleet management software. The program uses Microsoft Bing maps (formerly Microsoft Virtual Earth) to provide detailed mapping, real time vehicle location and historical reporting. Other features of the Silent Passenger application include:
- 10 second location updates
- Real-time traffic updates
- Exception-based text notifications
- Automatic email reports
- Vehicle Maintenance Module
“The services we provide to Bluegrass will become an invaluable tool for their customers,” said John M. Cunningham Jr., President and CEO of Vehicle Tracking Solutions. “Our existing customers question how they functioned without our system, and I am sure that Bluegrass customers will have the same opinion after utilizing the vehicle tracking feature in their software.”
