How our Vehicle Tracking System works

Once you make the decision to utilize our GPS vehicle tracking system, we begin by installing our automatic vehicle location (AVL) hardware covertly in your vehicle, truck, trailer or heavy equipment. The hidden GPS antenna will allow the fleet tracking unit to lock onto the US Department of Defense's satellites to determine the exact longitude, latitude, speed, and direction of the vehicle.

Complete Fleet Tracking Increases Profits

The fleet tracking unit will then use its internal GPRS based modem to send its location data to the closest terrestrial cell tower. That location data is then instantly transmitted via the Internet to the vehicle tracking system network operation center (NOC), where that data is stored for a 13-month period and is simultaneously displayed on your computer screen using our FleetMinder® or VTS WebView™ applications.

In addition to providing exact vehicle location and speed, our fleet tracking hardware also reports engine idle status and has the capability of monitoring optional accessories such as power take off (PTO) controls, engine starter kill, and power door unlock. Future enhancements to our GPS vehicle tracking system include two-way voice communication and engine diagnostic reporting.
